BCA opened its doors in August 2010 with a single pre-kindergarten (PreK) class. The enrollment continued to grow as did the academic offerings. In 2014, BCA expanded to offer classes for school-age children, which currently includes kindergarten through 4th grade.

The plan is to eventually add one grade each year until we can provide a full educational experience for Pre-K through 12th grade. In fact, future plans include continuing to open grade levels for the inaugural group to be the first graduates of Bentonville Christian Academy in the year 2027!

Academics

BCA provides a fully developed curriculum including traditional subjects of language arts, mathematics, social studies, science, physical education, music, and art, plus Bible, Science-Technology-Engineering-Art-Math (STEAM), and student-directed project-based learning.

We continue to shape and grow our curriculum and overall offerings to provide the most appropriate academic and spiritual environment for each student. This includes recently adding what we call “Specials” to our curriculum in the 2018-2019 school year. These include classes in Music, Art, Spanish, and Physical Education for all K-4 students.

Our curriculum follows national and state standards. We are a member of the Arkansas Nonpublic School Accrediting Association and are in the process of seeking accreditation from the National Christian School Association.

School Governance

At BCA, the school is governed by a board of directors who are all members of the Church of Christ. We focus on recruiting and retaining students and families who support the mission of BCA, which is to be Christ-Centered, Family-Focused, and Academically-Awesome.

Our Staff

Our growth in teaching staff, their experience, and their education is noteworthy. Even though not required for accreditation, all our K-4 teachers are fully licensed in the areas which they teach. All have master’s degrees in education. Their experiences include private, Christian school; private school; public school; and full-time and adjunct university-level teaching. View staff page
